On January 17-18th 2019 , ASSI Project Phase 5 conducted a start-up workshop in Harris Vertue Hotel Jakarta to discuss digital learning platform initiated by multi-stakeholders including MoEC, NDMO, UNICEF and Consortia for Disaster Education. This platform serves as a self-study module with designated instructors to check on the training progress and do some scoring.
Opened by Dr. Gogot Suharwoto, the Director for Centre of Communication and Technology of MOEC – Indonesia, he also briefed the audience about Indonesia’s school safety implementation and progress. In the workshop, there were presentations on ASSI in alignment with Global and regional initiatives on school safety, achievements and challenges of school safety in Indonesia by BNPB/NDMO and the work of Consortia for Disaster Edu.
Participants from different agencies collectively reviewed National SS Road Map 2014-2019 and brainstormed on future Road Map up to 2024. It hoped to consolidate all the inputs and ASSI will go through a process of review and consultations to refine road map.
