ASEAN Safe Schools Initiative (ASSI) Project Management Team in consultation with ASEAN Secretariat and ASEAN Member States will be conducting “the Second ASSI WEBINAR – Child-Centred Risk Assessment” on 19 July 2019 (friday) at 14.00 – 15.30 BKK/JKT/Hanoi/ /Vientiane/ PNP time or 15.00 – 16.30 Manila/SING/KL time. This webinar aims to discuss about sound practices, strategies, policies, and trending issues around school safety in ASEAN and the linkages between the community and school in the context of school disaster risk management. For this second webinar, ASSI PMT will have a collaboration with the Asia Pacific Coalition for School Safety (APCSS).

In this second webinar, ASSI will have 4 Presenters that will discuss about the good practices in child centred risk assessment (Ms. Meimei Leung from World Vision International), Visual Inspection for defining the Safety Upgrading Strategies for School Safety (VISUS) methodology for schools (Mr Ardito M Kodijat from UNESCO Office Jakarta), Latest implementation of the CSS Assessment Suite non-technical tools in Southeast Asia and the Pacific by Risk RED and Save the Children in collaboration (Mr Suha Ülgen from Risk RED), and social risks identification in schools in the Philippines (Ms. Suzette T Gannaban Medina from Department of Education – Mimaropa Region, the Philippines).  Please to see this link for download participation form : http://bit.ly/2nd_ASSI_WEBINAR_Package  and send the form to : [email protected]  by the latest 17 july 2019.
