Plan International Pathway to Resilience Framework

July 17, 2020

Plan International is continuing to work on climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction and recognizes these as key strategies in strengthening resilience to identified shocks and stresses. Plan International’s new approach considers all shocks and stresses and goes beyond these approaches to also include other important areas such as environmental protection, strengthening social safety nets and life skills, and supporting continuous access to basic services.

It has a unique approach in defining ‘resilience’ as the capacity of children, adolescents, and youth, families, communities and institutions to overcome stress and shocks that undermine the full and equal enjoyment of the human rights”. Find out more, including the five pathways to resilience strengthening in this leaflet and video.
